Troup County authorities searching for armed robbery suspect

(Troup County, GA) — On January 20, 2019 at around 9:30 PM deputies responded to an armed robbery which had just occurred at 10 Wares Cross Road, the Econo Food Mart.

The victim stated that the store was closed at the time of the incident and that he opened the door after hearing a knock and a male dressed in all black with a mask pushed him into the store.

The victim stated that the male placed a gun to the back of his head and pushed him to the cash register and demanded that he “give me the cash money.”

At that point the suspect fled the location with an undetermined amount of cash.
