Troup County Thefts

(Troup  County, GA) — Over the last several weeks, investigators with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office have been called to the scene of more than a dozen reports of Entering Autos and Thefts in the southeast part of the county.

These locations include several residential areas in what is known as the Oak Grove Community off Hamilton Rd.

The unknown suspect(s) are getting into unlocked vehicles and taking items of value, and taking property from unsecured barns or sheds.

A vehicle in question was seen in the area and described as a black or dark in color, four-door car, possibly a Camry driven by a white female possibly in her twenties with brown hair.

Troup County Sheriff James Woodruff reminds everyone to always lock your vehicles even in your own driveway, and secure or remove items of value from plain sight.

Also if you have valuable property in an outside shed or barn, take the extra step to make sure the doors to those building have the proper locking system to help protect those items as well.
