Voter Registration Deadline Approaching

(Franklin, GA) — The deadline to register to vote in the General Runoff Election is Monday December 7, 2020. This is also the last day to change your name or address.

If you have moved since you last voted, the Elections Office may not have an accurate address for you. This could cause problems on Election Day.

It is easy to check your registration status. You can use the Secretary of State’s “My Voter Page” to check your status. The web site is https://www.mvp.sos.ga.gov/.

You may also call the Elections and Registration Office during regular office hours Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.

If you have not yet registered to vote, you may do so in one of the following ways:

1: At the Elections and Registration Office (located in the Courthouse), a public library, or public assistance center. Please remember social distancing guidelines in public areas.

2: When you renew your driver’s license or State issued ID Card.

3: Using the Secretary of State’s On-Line Voter Registration System. The web site is https://registertovote.sos.ga.gov/GAOLVR.  You may also access the site from the “My Voter Page.”

4: By printing out and mailing a voter registration application to the Elections and Registration Office (PO Box 427 Franklin, GA 30217). There is a printable form at the following web site: https://sos.ga.gov/admin/files/GA_VR_APP_2018.pdf.

If you have questions regarding your registration status or would like an absentee ballot application, please call the Elections and Registration Office at 706-675-3907.
