Whitney graduates from National Academy Program

(Lagrange, GA) — On September 16th, Troup County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Jon Whitney along with 229 other law enforcement executives, graduated from the 265th Session of the FBI National Academy Program in Quantico, Virginia.

Included in this graduating class were men and women from 47 states, the District of Columbia, 24 international countries, three military organizations, and four federal civilian organizations, including four others from the State of Georgia.

Internationally known for its academic excellence, the National Academy Program, held at the FBI Academy, offers 10 weeks of advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training for selected officers having proven records as professionals within their agencies.

“We are all very proud of the accomplishments of Chief Whitney and excited to have him back with us,” said Sheriff Woodruff.

Chief Whitney is very thankful to Sheriff Woodruff for allowing him this opportunity to be the first to be sent from the Troup County Sheriff’s Office.

Chief Investigator Capt. Mike Caldwell is also a graduate from the National Academy, graduating in 2002.
