The Heard County High School wrestling team has had an impressive season this year. This team is setting records that have never been set before at Heard County.
For example, they competed in a tournament in Villa Rica on January 8 against region teams. Heard County dominated each team with a perfect 3-0 record and brought home first place.
Heard County High School’s team beat Temple (72-3), Bowdon (42-36), and Villa Rica (48-30) during a tough competition.
Head coach Justin Ransom commented, “Last night was an entirely different team than I have seen this year. They pulled together as a family and were able to rise up and pull out wins in dominating fashion against teams that were favored against us. The guys have a sense of urgency in the practice room and need to continue that until the region meet in three weeks.”
