(Franklin) — The Heard County Parks and Recreation youth football regular season will open this Saturday and will include three games at the recreation department.

The first game will feature a 6U flag football “Civil War” at 10:00 a.m. between Heard County Black coached by Johnathan McClellan and Heard County Maroon coached by Casey Barnes and Mike Cofield.

In the second game of the day at 11:00 a.m., the 10U Braves tackle team coached by Josh Parmer will host Carrollton Trojan Gold.

Finally in a 12U match-up at 12:30 p.m., the 12U Braves headed up by Coach Cain Dean will battle Carrollton Gold.

In other week one flag football action, the 6U Grey Braves coached by Antonio Heath will travel to Bowdon at 10:00 a.m.

The 8U tackle team headed up by Coach Josh Blacquiere will also travel to Bowdon to take on the Red Devils at 11:00 a.m.

In this week’s final opening game, the 8U Braves coached by Robert Hanson will host Villa Rica at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21 at the recreation department.

All recreation department games will be played this season at HCPR located at 2020 Thompson Road in Franklin.
