Accident Results in Two Injuries near Glenloch

Gordy Wright, a spokesperson for the Georgia State Patrol, reports that two people were injured in an accident Monday morning near the Glenloch area in Northern Heard County.

The crash occurred around 11:05 a.m. and involved two vehicles. According to the report, a 2010 Toyota Tacoma driven by 62-year-old Charlie Ray Taylor, was attempting to cross GA HWY 1 from Armstrong Mill and had pulled into the center of the intersection.

As he attempted to cross the northbound lanes, he pulled into the path of a 1998 Ford Ranger occupied by two people.

The driver of the Ranger, Colin Eddy Coker, 68, of Franklin and a passenger 68-year-old Mary Ann Coker also of Franklin were both transported to Tanner Hospital in Carrollton for treatment of injuries.

The driver of the Tacoma, Charlie Ray Taylor was uninjured and was charged with failing to yield after stopping at a stop sign.
