Softball Injuries — Senior pitcher Jordan Watson (shoulder) received good results on an MRI last week and is expected to return before the end of the regular season. Anna Shelnutt (ankle) did not miss any time and homered twice over the weekend at the Trojan Slam in Carrollton.

Savage TD — Jaquay Savage scored his first touchdown as a Louisville Cardinal in Saturday’s 34-31 set-back at Houston. Savage led the team in catches with seven for a total of 79 yards. A newspaper in Louisville published an article last week about Savage’s name change. Click here to read the article.

12U Jamboree — The 12U Braves coached by Cain Dean participated in a jamboree at Temple High School on Saturday. They defeated Carrollton Trojan Black in the first mini-game 6-0. Ashton “The Kidd” Bonner had a 62-yard TD run and an interception. Blake Baldwin also had an interception for the Braves’ defense.

Miller POWBrave Nation Player of the Week: The Brave Nation Player of the Week is varsity football player Mr. Austin Miller. Miller had an off the charts performance in Friday night’s victory including 3 touchdown catches, an interception, and a long kick return. Congrats to Austin for being named this week’s Player of the Week.

Baseball Schedule — Head coach Trent Bianco has added some tough competition to next year’s varsity baseball schedule including match-ups with Greater Atlanta Christian, Villa Rica, Calhoun, Schley County, Pace Academy, and Landmark Christian.

Cancelled Softball Game — Thursday’s softball game at Georgia Tech versus Wesleyan has been cancelled due to Homecoming.

Historical Note — Former Brave player and coach Thomas “Red” Keith is the No. 12 all time career tackling leader in NCAA football since the year 2000 when the NCAA began including defensive stats in the official records.
