Alexandria Lambert wins Heard County Spelling Bee

(Franklin) — The Heard County School System held its annual System Spelling Bee this morning at Heard County High School in Franklin.

Winners from Centralhatchee Elementary, Ephesus Elementary, Heard Elementary, and Heard County Middle School competed for the title of top speller for Heard County Schools.

After much competition, Alexandria Lambert from Centralhatchee Elementary was declared the 2020 winner.

Alexandria will next move on to represent Heard County at the Region Spelling Bee February 22, 2020 in Conyers, GA.

Emma Lawson from Ephesus Elementary was the runner-up speller while Joshua Janney from Heard Elementary claimed third place and Aubree Ussery from HCMS took home fourth place.

Congratulations to these outstanding spellers and best of luck to Alexandria at the District Spelling Bee next month!
