Franklin Police investigating burglary at local business

(Franklin, GA) — The Franklin Police Department is investigating a burglary at a local manufacturing facility.

According to a report issued by FPD Investigator Lt. Tino Brooks, the burglary occurred at Plasti Paint, Inc. (PPI) which is located at 12991 GA Highway 34 just east of Downtown Franklin.

Employees discovered the burglary upon arrival early Saturday morning, but Inv. Brooks believes the break-in most likely occurred after the business closed late Thursday.

The facility specializing in advanced painting of plastic parts was closed Friday for the July 4 holiday.

The items taken in the burglary were two Millermatic 252 Welders with an estimated value of about $3,000 each.

Inv. Brooks is asking that anyone who may have any information about this theft to contact local authorities.
