According to a report by Heard County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Dan Boswell, authorities received a 911 phone call from the men’s mother and responded to the scene at around 8:30 AM this morning.

Boswell says that Bruce David Popphan was the only one armed and fired several shots at his brother from approximately 10-12 feet away.

One of the shots grazed the younger brother’s head, but his injuries are not considered to be critical or life-threatening.
