Arrest made in Carrollton Kidnapping (Updated)

UPDATED: Carrollton Police charged 28-year old Timothy Curtise Wilson of Carrollton Tuesday afternoon with Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault and Hijacking in relation to the incident early Tuesday morning that began outside of the Kroger’s in Carrollton. Read original story below:

(Carrollton, GA) — Authorities are searching for a suspect accused of kidnapping a woman from the Carrollton Kroger during the overnight hours this morning.

The suspect allegedly kidnapped the woman at knife point from the Kroger location, and sexually assaulted her at an abandoned church off of I-20 near Hamilton Holmes Drive.

Following the alleged sexual assault, the suspect forced the woman to drive him to an area near the 1700 block of Monroe Drive in Atlanta.

At some point, the woman was able to text her friend, who alerted police to what was happening. After the suspect took off in the woman’s vehicle, an Atlanta Police officer spotted him and a chase began.

When the suspect saw police, he reportedly took off in the vehicle and crashed into several cars before fleeing on foot.

The victim was recovered and taken to Grady hospital for treatment.

Police are now searching for the suspect. Preliminary information shows that the victim did not know her attacker(s).

  3. I have a neice (19yrs) and several friends (mid-40’s) that have mentioned this type of frightening behavior in the same parking lot. They were both able to get away.
