Burglary Suspect Captured

(Carroll County, GA) — 34-year-old Jason Roger Times of Jonesboro, GA has been arrested for burglary and racketeering charges. He is currently in the Carroll County jail facing multiple felony charges.

On November 3, 2015, investigators from Carroll and Haralson Counties teamed up with the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office Vice Team in order to locate and apprehend Times, who is wanted in connection with a multi-county and multi-state burglary investigation.

According to a press release issued by Captain Jeff Richards of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the Clayton County Sheriffs Office located Times at his home in Jonesboro where they maintained surveillance until a search warrant could be obtained for his residence through Clayton County courts.

Times was taken into custody at his residence without incident and the search of the residence did reveal some items of evidentiary value, however, it does not appear that any items which were fruits of his crime spree were recovered.

The suspect remains in the Carroll County jail after being denied bond for multiple felony charges at his first appearance hearing.

He is also wanted by Haralson County (GA) and Cleburne County (AL) as well as being a burglary suspect in Douglas, Meriwether and other surrounding counties.

He was recently identified with his vehicle, and had been a topic of many law enforcement, media outlets, and look outs.

Through home camera surveillance systems, Times’ car was identified by its unique appearance, missing hubcaps and a black or missing fender, which had been seen at or near residences which were burglarized in Carroll, Haralson, and other surrounding counties.

Times has been identified as the primary suspect in at least five burglaries in Carroll County for the month of October. The case is still actively being investigated and additional charges are expected.
