Ephesus convenience store burglary latest in string of thefts

(Franklin, GA) — The Heard County Sheriff’s Office is again requesting the public’s help in identifying suspects involved in several overnight store burglaries over the past few months.

According to a report from Investigator Sgt. Dan Boswell, the suspects are using a newer model white Ford panel van.

The most recent burglary took place last week at R & R One Stop in the Ephesus community. The suspects and van are believed to be the same involved in other recent burglaries in Coweta, Carroll, and Fayette Counties.

Investigators say the same suspect(s) allegedly broke into and entered Five Point Grocery located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and GA Highway 100 just south of Franklin back in April. A safe was taken during that incident.

Most of the burglaries involve the theft of cash and cartons of cigarettes.

Citizens are asked to keep an eye out for this white van especially late at night.See photos below of one of the alleged suspects and the van.

If anyone has any information concerning these suspects or their whereabouts, please contact Heard County 911 immediately or call the Heard County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 675-3329.
