Free Hunter Safety Class

(Franklin) — Going hunting in Georgia anyone? If you do you will need to have a hunter safety certificate. Things have changed.

Everyone regardless of age must have a DNR ID number to register for a course or participate in a hunter education class. This is a free class.

You can get your ID by going to gohuntgeorgia.com.

Bob Jones has been teaching hunter education for 31 years. Last year because of all the confusion he did not have a class in Heard County. He plans to have two classes this year.

The first will be September 12th and the 14th (6PM-10PM each night) at the Heard County Library in Franklin. You must register if we do not have at least 5 people the class will be canceled.

To register go online to gohuntgeorgia.com click on education. You will see hunter education, click on online hunter education courses, scroll down to Free hunter education courses click on linked titled classroom course, scroll down to the bottom left of the page and register for the class today.
