On Tuesday, December 12, a Cobb County police officer attempted to pull over Kevin Scott Sosebee at Community Drive and Mableton Parkway in Mableton.

Police searched extensively over the next two days before finally getting a break in the case on Friday.

Authorities received information that Sosebee was hiding in a trailer off of Pope Road in Carroll County.

The wanted suspect was located in the Villa Rica area but was able to drive away, leading police on a chase across two counties.

Sosebee eventually exited his vehicle then ran into one of the county line double stores gas stations located off U.S. Highway 27 in northern Heard County Friday evening.

The station was surrounded by the United States Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Cobb Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Investigators and Carroll County Deputies and Sosebee was taken into custody without incident.

Sosebee was booked into the Carroll County Jail and then transported back to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center charged with two counts of probation violation, possession of a firearm/knife during a commission of a crime and aggravated assault.
