HCPR Football Week 3 Round-Up: 6U Gray Braves now 3-0

The 6U Gray Flag Braves had two wins this week to move to 3-0 on the season

(Mount Zion, GA) — Coach Antonio Heath and the 6U Gray Flag Braves knocked off Mt. Zion 30-19 on the road Saturday for their second win in five days.

Amari heath scored three touchdowns to lead the way with Carter Headley scoring on three extra-point conversions. Zach Donnell scored the other touchdown for the Gray Braves.

Donnell, Heath, and Henry Weaver had good games on defense.

The win moves the team’s record to a perfect 3-0 on the season after also getting a 20-14 win over Heard County Black Tuesday night at HCPR. In that game, Donnell had two touchdowns and Headley had one. Headley and Donnell also added extra-point runs.

Zaiden Moreland and Jack Langley led the way for the Black team with one touchdown each.

The 6U Gray team will enjoy this Saturday off while the Black team will travel to Bowdon to take on the Red Devils.

In the only other game played this week, the 8U Maroon squad fell to Carroll County White 33-0.

Saturday’s scheduled games at HCPR were both postponed until this Tuesday at HCPR (see schedule below).
