Heard County Sheriff’s Office honors Veterans

(Franklin, GA)Sheriff Ross Henry and staff recognized their Veterans this past week.

A display is set up yearly in the Sheriff’s Office Lobby that includes photos of current and retired employees who have served our great country in the military.

Currently employed with the Sheriff’s Office are three deputies, two investigators, one detention officer and one nurse who are military veterans.

Several of these Veterans along with a couple of retired employees/veterans and a member of the local community, who is also a veteran,  were treated to lunch at the O’Charley’s restaurant in Carrollton, GA.

O’Charley’s treats Veterans to a free meal each year on Veteran’s Day in honor and appreciation of their service to our Country.

Some of our Veterans also participated in a parade held by Heard County High School.

The Veterans and staff of the Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all Heard County students and staff for taking to time honor these men and women.

“On behalf of myself and the staff of the Heard County Sheriff’s Office, we would like to THANK our Veterans for their loyal and dedicated service to our great country and for their continued service to Heard County.  We also want to THANK all veterans who have and who continue to protect our freedoms”, stated Heard County Sheriff Ross Henry.
