Marching Braves need volunteers for inaugural Stateline Showdown Marching Band Competition

(Franklin, GA) — The Heard County Marching Braves are proud to announce that we will be hosting the inaugural Stateline Showdown Marching Band competition on Saturday, September 30th.

We are expecting at least 10 marching bands from Georgia and Alabama along with special performances by the LaGrange College Marching Panthers and our very own Heard County Marching Braves.

This competition is anticipated to bring over 1200 visitors to our campus that day and is shaping up to be a very exciting event.

We are requesting help from members of the Heard County community in the way of volunteers to help work the day of the event.

There are many different jobs to be done and any amount of time you could donate would be greatly appreciated.

We are especially interested in having Marching Braves alumni help us in this endeavor. Our hope is that this will be the beginning of a great tradition for our band, our school and our community.

If you are interested in helping or just learning more about the competition – there will be an informational meeting on Monday, August 28 at 6:00 PM in the band room at Heard County High School.

If you cannot attend the meeting but would like to help the day of the competition please feel free to contact Joy Thompson at 706-594-6879 or via email at JoyT30217@yahoo.com to learn more.

You can also help us get word out to our community simply by sharing this article and asking your Facebook contacts to do the same!
