Miss Alyssa Calhoun

Calhoun obitMiss Alyssa Caitlin Calhoun, age 14 of Newnan, died at Tanner Medical Center on March 18, 2016.

She was born in Newnan on August 10, 2001. She was a 9th grade student at Newnan High School and attended Coweta Community and Trinity Fellowship in Peachtree City.

She loved church, was an avid outdoors person who enjoyed hunting, and loved talking on her cell phone.

She was always helping others and had a great love for her brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her father, Jason Calhoun; her mother, Brittney Haynes Calhoun; her brothers, Dylan Calhoun, Nicolai Calhoun, and Logan Haynes; her sisters, Tabitha Calhoun and Kendall Calhoun; her grandparents, Johnny and Jeanette Calhoun; her aunts and uncles, Tammy Crain (Sam), Kelly Calhoun, and Andy Calhoun (Carissa).

The family will receive friends at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home on Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and a funeral service will be held at the funeral home Friday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rhonda McGinnis officiating.

Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Michael Bishop, Andy Calhoun, Sam Crain, Patrick Seamen, Michael Spratlin, and John Calhoun.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for those wishing to make donations for funeral expenses.

Higgins Hillcrest Chapel of Newnan, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
