Mr. Albert Glenn Kendrick

ThumbnailMr. Albert Glenn Kendrick, age 89, of Roopville, Heard County, Georgia passed away on Friday morning, May 12, 2017 at his residence.

He was born May 5, 1928 in Centralhatchee, Georgia, the son of the late Willie Cleveland Kendrick and the late Willie Mae Bradley Kendrick.

In his earlier years, he enjoyed farming and working on lawnmower s; and later he worked for and retired from Uniroyal of Hogansville. He was someone who worked hard all his life.

Albert, also known as “Buck” loved his Lord and loved his family, especially his children. He cherished times with his friends, and was loved by all those he met along life’s way.

He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church and for the last several years attended Heaven Bound Chapel of God Church in Centralhatchee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Louise Turley Kendrick; three brothers and three sisters. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Harvey (Debbie) Kendrick, Michael (Norma) Kendrick, Angela (Merrell) Harcrow, Rodney (Janet) Kendrick, and Mark Kendrick; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 15, 2017 at 2:00 PM from Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. J. W. Daniel, Rev. Dale Jones, and Rev. Cecil Davis officiating. The body will be placed in the church at noon until the funeral hour.

Music will be rendered by Dale Jones, Donna Johnston, and Charles Davis.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brett Kendrick, Christopher Kendrick, Nicholas Kendrick, Rodney Kendrick, Andrew Kendrick, Anthony Kendrick, Daniel Kendrick and Merrell Harcrow. Those seated as honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Harcrow, Jeremy Harcrow, Jonathan Harcrow, Benjamin Harcrow, Bradley Harcrow, and Ashley Kendrick.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening, May 14, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
