Mr. Bobby Allen Pope

Mr. Bobby Allen Pope, age 42, of Franklin passed away suddenly Monday August 14, 2017.

Funeral services for Mr. Pope will be conducted Friday August 18, 2017 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with the Revs. Skeeter Thompson and Tim Riordan officiating.

Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

Mr. Pope was born March 27, 1975 in Carrollton to the late Michael Allen Pope and Reita Faye Gentry Pope. He was a Christian by faith.

He was a member of the Heard County High School Class of 1993. While in high school he was active in the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America, and served as the president of the Heard High Chapter.

He worked as a store manager for Bearings and Drives Industrial for several years before moving back to Georgia.

He was an avid college football fan, and was especially passionate about the Georgia Bulldogs.

He loved his extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins, and had a special place in his heart for his nieces, Jordyn and Jayden.

Survivors include his step-mother, Bonnie Mahanay of Sharpsburg; his grandmother, Sara Gentry of Senoia; his brother, Jared Pope (Jodi) of Newnan; two special nieces, Jordyn Pope and Jayden Pope; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

    We are sorry for the loss of our cousin Bobby. We know Uncle Mike and Aunt Rita will rejoice in the reuniting with their son. Our condolences to our cousin Jared and his family as well as the remaining family members.
