Mr. Booker T. Brown, Sr.

Mr. Booker T. Brown, Sr. was born October 4, 1927 in Chambers County, Alabama to the late, Simpson Brown and Blonde Della Cameron Russell.

Very quietly and peacefully, he entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday morning, May 12, 2018 at Pruitt HealthCare.

At an early age, he joined Old Field Church, now known as Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

He worked for Awbrey Logging Company for many years before retiring.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Willie T. Brown and George Willie Brown; one brother, Lewis (Ollie) Brown; two sisters, Sarah (Raleigh) Dixon and Lela Mae (Bob) Treadwell.

He leaves to cherish his memories, sons, Booker T. Brown, Jr., Carrollton, GA; Charlie Brown, Columbus, GA; Marty (Rosa) Brown, Franklin, GA; Walter Mack Greene, AL; daughters,  Barbara A. Brown, Franklin, GA; Brenda L. (Bobby) Ross, LaGrange, GA; Linda M. (Alton) Hall, Franklin, GA; Glenda Brown-Satterwhite, Franklin, GA; Francine Armster, Carrollton, GA; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; brother, Roy Brown, Franklin, GA; sisters,  Josie C. (Willie) Bell, Franklin, GA; Ether L. (Alvin) Edwards, Trotwood, OH; Eva Dell (Sander) Pless, Franklin, GA; Sarah Brown-Robinson, Bowdon, GA; sisters-in-law,  Lenora (Grady) Jones, Rome, GA; Johnnie Alexander, Villa Rica, GA; Sarah Person, Bowdon, GA; brother-in-law, John T. Williams, Jr., Rome, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Franklin.

The family will receive guests at Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home Friday, May 18 from 5-7 PM.

Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home of Lagrange is in charge of arrangements.
