Mr. Buster Hale

Mr. James Leonard “Buster” Hale, age 70, of Franklin passed away December 14, 2017.

Funeral services for Mr. Hale will be conducted Saturday December 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM from Holy Ground Baptist Church with the Revs. Kelly Runels, Michael White, and Mark Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Hale was born September 12, 1947 in LaGrange to the late Bonnie Monroe Hale and Doris Baker Hale Baldwin.

He was a faithful member of Holy Ground Baptist Church and attended every day he was able. He loved to worship with his church family.

He served his country honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Vietnam from 1964 – 1967.

After serving in the Army, he finished technical school. He was a manger for Express Oil Change until his health failed him, and served the company for 15 years.

His favorite times were spent with his family. He loved to have bonfires and cookouts at home. An outdoorsman at heart, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Among his favorite outings were shopping trips to Harbor Freight Tools.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Hale of Franklin; one daughter, Alecia Riley (Tommy) of Arkansas; two sons, Allen Hale (April) and Danny Hale (Jennifer) both of Franklin; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Ann Carr (Billy) of Alabama and Becky Sudduth of Mississippi; one brother, Jerry Hale (Carol) of Florida; and a number of other relatives and friends.
