Mr. Charlie Clarence Rogers

Mr. Charlie Clarence Rogers, son of the late Gerturde (Hendricks) Rogers and Clarence Rogers was born August 31, 1952, a native of Franklin, Georgia.

Professionally, he was a self-taught brick masoner for over 40 years. He attended Mary Johnson High School. He loved football and was a die-hard Atlanta Falcons Fan.

On March 15, 2019, Charlie departed this life at Newnan Nursing And Rehabilitation.

Additionally, he was preceded in death by siblings: John Rogers, James”Bro” Rogers, Clovia Annette Rogers, and Kirk Rogers.

He leaves to cherish his memories five children: Sharolette Rogers, Yolanda Jones (Kenneth Jones), Marquise “Bam” Rogers, Kenyatta Robinson, and Tara Taylor. Grandchildren: Trequan Sharpe, Kennison Jones, Brayland Jones, Landray Jones, Caleb Rogers, Ameri Rogers, Steven Jones-Kendrick, Tiana Taylor, and Timothy Taylor, Jr. Siblings: Bobbie Ann Echols (Charlie Lee), Walter Rogers, Betty Ware, James Rogers (Lahina), Tony Rogers (Belinda), Anthony Rogers (Sandra), Vivian Rogers, Kathy Winston (Wendell), and Nathaniel Rogers (Janice). And a host of nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, March 19 at 1:00 PM at Heard Wesley United Methodist Church in (19191 HWY 34, Franklin) with the Minister Demetrius Thornton officiating.

Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home of Lagrange, GA is in charge of the arrangements.


  1. Really sorry to hear about this, will be thinking about his whole family, Sharolette and Bam are really fine people and I am sure the rest of the family members are also.
