Mr. Kenneth Rogers

Mr. Kenneth Prince Rogers of Bowdon, Georgia, passed away on July 27, 2018. He was 74.

Mr. Rogers was born on July 5, 2018, in Heard County, Georgia, to the late S.E. and Opal Rogers.

He worked at Southwire for 44 and a half years as a mechanic with their trucking department.

He was faithful member of Bowdon First United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Trustees and Chairman of the Cemetery Committee. The church presented him with the Newman Lovvorn Award for his years of dedicated service.

In his retirement, Mr. Rogers enjoyed gardening and woodworking, but most of all, he loved being around his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife, Claudia Meigs Rogers; his children, Amanda Rogers Castellano and Brenda Rogers Conley and her husband, Duane; his grandchildren, Kailey Castellano, Bryan Castellano, Gabriel Castellano, Adam Castellano, Will Conley, Wes Conley, and Annie Conley; his great-grandchild, Ian Ares Castellano; and his siblings, Roy Rogers, Stanley Rogers, and Jeanette Janey.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 30, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Bowdon First United Methodist Church. Bro. Randy Simpkins officiate and Mr. Richard Meigs offered a eulogy.

Pallbearers were Buck Meherg, Jason Meherg, Frankie Meigs, Jimmy Meigs, Drew Meigs, and Brock Wiggins. Interment was held in the church cemetery.
