Mr. Lamar Skinner

Mr. Raleigh Lamar Skinner, age 80, of Franklin passed away September 9, 2020.

The family will gather together for a private service to be held at Stutts Funeral Home.

Mr. Skinner was born October 15, 1939 in Fulton County to the late John Benjamin Skinner and Viola McKinney Skinner.

He was a Christian by faith. He loved to read the Bible and share its message with others.

He was retired from Koger Equity, where he worked as a building engineer for 23 years. He had a mechanical mind and enjoyed working with old cars.

He was a dedicated family man and loved his wife, Joyce, to whom he was married over 45 years. He also adored his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Times spent with them were precious to him, especially when they gathered for a meal together. He loved to eat, and his favorite drink was hot coffee.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Skinner; three daughters, Joann Tucker, Jeanna Speegle, and Karen Michelle Daniel; two sons, Kenneth Skinner and Matthew Cotton (Beth); 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and five brothers.
