Mr. Robert Flood

Mr. Robert Linwood Flood, Sr., age 79, of Franklin passed away March 15, 2018.

Mr. Flood was born September 13, 1938 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to the late George Flood and Bernice Linwood Eaton Magnant.

He was a member of Glenloch Baptist Church.

He served his country in the US Navy from 1955 through 1966. His service took him to various places around the world, including Japan and Vietnam.

Following his time in the Navy, he worked as a mechanic for several companies in the local area, including CBS Records in Carrollton.

A jack of all trades, he enjoyed tinkering with machines. Working on old cars was one of his favorite hobbies. In his spare time, he loved to travel.

He held a special place in his heart for his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Flood of Franklin; five daughters, Angela Nichols of Bakersfield, California, Tara Wysner (Andy) of Tallapoosa, LouAnn Eason (Ronnie) of Franklin, Michelle Henry of Franklin, and Amanda Peppers (Shannon) of Franklin; two sons, Robert Flood, Jr. (Laurie) of Terre Haute, Indiana and B. J. Henry of Franklin; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Delores Bahr of Oregon; and a number of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judith Adams, and a brother, Lloyd Flood.

A private service will be held on a later date.
