Mr. Wayne McWaters

Mr. Wayne Kenyard McWaters, age 73, of Franklin passed away September 19, 2021.

His funeral will be held Thursday September 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with Rev. Brandon Brooks officiating.

The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Thursday afternoon from 12:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Mr. McWaters was born November 12, 1947 in Troup County to the late Glenn Walter McWaters and the late Effie Lucille Burnham Hester. He was also preceded in death by two sisters: the late Frankie Lee Chaffin and the late Mattie May McCloud.

He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War.

He drove a truck for the family business, McWaters and Son Grading and Paving, for over 30 years. He also worked for Asco Transportation driving big rigs up and down the road, which was his true passion.

In his free time he loved to spend time with his family laughing, gathering together, and eating good food.

Survivors include his wife, Jacquelene McWaters; three daughters, Tracy Bunn (her late husband, Dale Bunn); Michelle Lites and husband, Jeremy; and Shannon Abner and husband, Ben; two sons, Rusty Jackson and his family; and J. J. Jackson; grandchildren, Chris Bunn and wife, Jessica; Christina Robinson and husband, Luke; Jake Roquemore and wife Carrigan; Justin Roquemore and wife, Meagan; Katie Miller and husband, Dustin; Kaicie Lites, Zoie Cochran and husband, Trent; Jackson Driver and family, C.J. Cochran, and Alyssa Smith; great-grandchildren, Brayleigh Spradlin, Natalie Bunn, Jase Bunn, Hunter Robinson, Lane Robinson, Miley Turner, Kamdyn Miller, Keelyn Miller, Holden Roquemore, McKenna Young, Brynlee Driver, and Ollie Driver; one sister, Betty Jean Thompson; two brothers, Joe McWaters (Evelyn) and James McWaters (Celeste); and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
