Mrs. Scott was born April 16, 1928 in Simpson County, Mississippi to the late George Alvin Meadows and Missouri Eviline Robinson Meadows.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from Mississippi College in Clinton, MS. She served many children as an elementary school teacher in various places, including Centreville, MS.

She loved to read. She was particularly fond of Billy Graham, and had a monthly subscription to the “Guideposts” magazine.

For entertainment, she enjoyed TV shows and movies, especially ones starring Dale Evans, Roy Rogers, and Shirley Temple. She also loved to go play Bingo. She was a champion player and earned several trophies.

She always held a special place in her heart for her family, who she loved dearly, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Scott (Frank Boozer) of Carrollton, Gloria Murray (Glynn) of Mississippi, and Opal Walston (Ricky) of Roopville; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Ralph Scott; one daughter, Alvina Scott; one son, Richard Scott; and three brothers, Curtis, Homer, and Wendell Meadows.
