Mrs. Ella Mae Wright

Ella Mae Wright ObitMrs. Ella Mae Sanders Wright, age 85, of Franklin passed away Friday September 2, 2016 at Pruitt Healthcare of Franklin.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wright were held Sunday September 4, 2016 at 3:00 PM at New Springs Congregational Methodist Church with the Rev. Brandon Brooks officiating.

Those serving as pall bearers were Shawn Hammond, Dakota Hammond, Lucas Hammond, Rickey Adams, Robbie Bussey, and Mike Thompson.

Mrs. Wright was born September 22, 1930 in Carroll County, GA to the late Buford Smith Sanders and Eucal Ruth Hester. She was a long time member of New Springs Congregational Methodist Church. She retired after more than 30 years of service from Baby Cloze, where she worked as a supervisor.

Miss Ella Mae enjoyed the company of family and friends, who relished her home cooking, especially her fried chicken and fried pies. She enjoyed a good conversation, and never met a stranger. She loved to talk about anything, but especially her family. She was  very proud of all of her descendants and their accomplishments.

Survivors include: one daughter, Sandra Lloyd; three grandchildren: Kimberly Sims, Michelle Lloyd, and Kevin Lloyd; five great-grandchildren: Drew Walston, Isaiah Lloyd, Harlee Lloyd, Hunter Sims, and Anna Sims; one great-great-grandchild, Olivia Walston; one brother, Wayne Sanders; one brother-in-law, Watson Adams; and a number of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hollice Wortham Wright; one son, Danny Wright; one son-in-law, Roy Lee Lloyd, one sister, Sara Adams; one brother, Lewis Sanders; and one sister-in-law, Sara Sanders.
