Mrs. Freddie Louise Barker

Mrs. Freddie Louise Brown Barker, 66, of Franklin, wife of Quellian Lynn Barker died September 24, 2017 at her home.

Born in Birmingham, AL, March 18, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Fred Brown and Betty Louise Helen Cain Brown.

She and her husband owned and operated On Grandmother’s Knees Catering Company for nearly fifteen years. She was a member of Elim Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 21 years are a son, Ray Ashmore, Jr. and wife Viola of Franklin; a daughter, Rebecca Pearce and husband Byron of Newnan; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Brown and partner of Stockbridge and Roger Brown and wife Cornelia of Franklin; and three sisters, Karon Illobre Trott and husband John of Luthersville, Kathy Waits and husband Larry of Fairburn and Judy Walker and husband Ray of Senoia.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 4:00 PM from the McKoon Funeral Home Chapel, 38 Jackson Street, with Rev. Mike Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 PM Tuesday evening.
