Mrs. Letha Parmer

Letha Annette Parmer, of Roopville, Georgia, passed away on March 1, 2015. She was 71. Mrs. Parmer was born on October 14, 1943 in Bowdon, Georgia to the late John Savoy and Myrtle Lee Whitman Stogner.

She was a seamstress at Bremen-Bowdon Investment and attended Gray Hill Church of God where she loved singing in the choir. She loved crocheting for loved ones and family and her grandchildren were the light of her eye.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Ray Parmer; her granddaughter, Meaghan Elizabeth Parmer; and her brother, Robert Savoy Stogner.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Deborah Parmer of Ephesus, GA; her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bill Burnette of Austell, GA; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynda and Bobby Parmer of Ephesus and France and Billy Junior of Mooresville, NC; her grandsons, Tyler Parmer, and his wife, Brooke, and Hunter Parmer, all of Ephesus; her granddaughters, Mikaela Parmer and Peytyn Parmer, both of Ephesus; her sister-in-law, Louise Stogner of Bowdon; and an host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. (Georgia Time) and Gray Hill Church of God in Woodland, AL. Bro. Mark Moore will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Prior to the services, her body will lie-in-state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

The family will receive friends at Rainwater Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m.
