Mrs. Linda Parris

Mrs. Linda Gene McCormick Parris, age 68, of Franklin passed away October 27, 2020.

Her funeral services will be conducted Thursday October 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with Pastor Debbie Kendrick officiating.

Interment will follow in McCormick Family Cemetery.

The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Thursday afternoon from 12:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Mrs. Parris was born January 24, 1952 in Troup County to the late Monroe McCormick and Ira Mae Williams McCormick.

She was a life member of Jesus is the Way Church. For the last few years she attended Heaven Bound Church of God. She was a woman who believed in the power of prayer and read her Bible daily. She loved to attend church and sing with her family.

Her most precious moments were spent with her grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and other extended family. She especially enjoyed going out to eat at Captain D’s.

Survivors include: her husband, Daniel Parris of Franklin; one daughter, Marie Lashley (Doug) of Hogansville; grandchildren: Acea Lashley (Jana), Savana Lashley (Tony Dyer), Jessica Hyatt (Brian), Vinnie Lashley (Kim Woody), Billie Dean (Danny), Andy Davis, and Zachary Lashley (Jasmine); a number of great-grandchildren; two brothers: Winford McCormick (Frances) and Howard McCormick (Nancy); and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Janelle Shadinger and Louise Houston; and two brothers: Lee McCormick and Jimmy McCormick.
