Mrs. Mary Preite

Mrs. Mary Lucille Watts Preite, age 71, of Franklin passed away Tuesday March 27, 2018.

Funeral services for Mrs. Preite will be conducted Thursday March 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with the Rev. David Huckeba officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Lineville, AL.

The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Preite was born November 25, 1946 in Ashland, AL to the late Clatis Leroy Watts and Della Lucille Goslin Watts.

She was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church and dearly loved her church family. She enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to Gospel music.

A cook by trade, she worked in several local restaurants. She also loved to serve delicious meals for her family and friends.

A good-hearted woman, she especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her spare time she liked to sew, go fishing, read and watch TV. Among her favorite programs were TV Westerns.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Preite of Franklin; four daughters, Tressia Hodges (James) of Franklin, Debbie Baker (Danny) of Roanoke, Denise Faktor (James Wilson) of Franklin, and Dianne Sims (Joey Cox) of Lineville; one son, Timothy Faktor of Franklin; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Armal of Ephesus and Thelma Watts of Lineville; and a number of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Junior Watts and Leroy Watts.
