Mrs. Mozelle Hallmark

Mrs. Mozelle Phillips Hallmark, age 97, of Franklin passed away January 4, 2022.

Her funeral will be held Saturday January 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with the Revs. Keith Rivers and Rodney Roquemore officiating. Entombment will follow at Antioch Baptist Church.

The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Saturday afternoon from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Mrs. Hallmark was born December 2, 1924 in Heard County to the late James Fletcher Phillips and Maddie Mae Hester Phillips. She was a member of New Springs Church.

During her working years she was employed as a seamstress for Chalkline Sewing Factory in Carrollton.

Family was at the center of her life. She was proud of having born two sets of twins. Her most precious times were the holidays when she would feed the family and cook a full spread. Everyone relished getting together for New Year’s, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart. 

One of her favorite activities was keeping house. She loved to reap the harvest of the garden each summer. She would can and preserve fruits and vegetables to enjoy the rest of the year. She also liked to sew and make quilts.

Survivors include: two daughters, Sharon Rivers (Keith) of Franklin and Susan Hallmark of Cumming; one son, Bobby Hallmark (Carol) of Franklin; fifteen grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry O’Neal Hallmark; one daughter, Robbie Hallmark; two sons, Ren Hallmark and Roger Hallmark; and three grandchildren: Amy Rivers, Neal Hallmark, and Steven Haze.
