Mrs. Sara Story Rowell

Mrs. Sara Story Rowell, 61, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at her home.

Mrs. Rowell was born April 21, 1958, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Alzyrene Harcrow Story Thompson Smith and Jackie Douglas Story.

She grew up in Hogansville, was a 1976 graduate of Hogansville High School, and was a general manager for Wendy’s, having been a longtime manager of the Hogansville location.

Survivors include her sons and daughter in-law, Sandy and Shevon Rowell of Franklin and Scottie Rowell of Atlanta; daughter, Susanna Smith of Columbus; sister, Roberta McClead of Franklin; brothers, Jim Thompson of Rex and Johnny Thompson of Franklin; and her grandchildren, Sirus Rowell, Trystan Rowell, Ulric Rowell, Vashton Rowell, Josephine Rivas, and Margaret Rivas.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rowell was preceded in death by her son, Henry Rowell and the beloved father of her children and best friend, Steve Rowell.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 8, at the graveside in the Salem Church Cemetery, 158 Salem Road, Franklin, GA 30217, with the Reverend Betty Jean Bowers officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Saturday evening.
