Ms. Lugenia Lewis

The beloved life of Lugenia Lewis began on August 31, 1953 in Heard County, Georgia to the late Gene Cook and Martha Thornton.

“Beloved Servant”:  Lugenia accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and united with the Shiloh Baptist Church where she served as a faithful member of the choir and wherever she was needed in the Body of Christ.

She attended Heard County High School in Franklin, Georgia and graduated, Class of 1972.

Upon graduating High School, she entered the workforce and was employed by Private Line Manufacturing Company and Bremen Bowdon Investment Company.

“Her children rise up and call her Blessed”:  Lugenia was a loving mother to three children. The love she showered upon them will forever live through them and her grandson.

This earthly journey of Ms. Lugenia Lewis came to an end on Monday, May 18, 2020.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Terrance Lewis; her sister, Judy Lewis Barnes; and brother, Gregory Cook.

“Blessed Legacy”:  Lugenia will be missed by many, but her legacy will love through her children: Terry Lewis and Tara Lewis; grandson, Armari Emory; all of Franklin, GA; three brothers: Pierce Lewis, Jr., Franklin, GA; Dwaine (Angerline) Lewis, Thomaston, GA; Gregory Lewis, Franklin, GA; two sisters:  Michelle Cook, Lanett, AL; Arlisa Lewis, Franklin, GA; aunts: Catherine Fredrick, Newnan, GA; Sylvia Thornton, Carrolton, GA; Annie Ruth Wilkes, Artis Andrews, both of Franklin, GA; Mary Thornton, Peachtree City, GA; Ida Bohanna, Newnan, GA; uncle, Ivy Foster, Sr., Newnan, GA; special friend, Dennis Swint; best friend, Sandra Tucker, both of Franklin, GA.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Monday at 1:00 PM in the Cemetery of Shiloh Baptist Church, 3847 Highway 54 West, Hogansville, GA.

The excellent care of Ms. Lewis is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
