Ms. Patricia Ann Russell Ransom

Ms. Patricia Ann Russell Ransom, affectionately called Ann by her family and friends, was born September 10, 1956 in LaGrange, Georgia to John Dewy Russell, Jr. and the late Mary Willie Freeman Russell.

At an early age she came to know the God Jehovah according to Psalms 83.

Later in life, she was baptized and was a member of  Valley Grove Baptist Church at the time of her death.

Ann was a lifelong resident of LaGrange, Georgia where she graduated from LaGrange High School. She later attended West Georgia Technical College where she obtained her degree in Nursing.

Ann worked for many years as a loving nurse at LaGrange Health and Rehab Center, as well as Franklin Health Care Center.

During her tenure as a nurse, she trained and mentored many newly licensed nurses and nursing assistants. She enjoyed taking care of sick and elderly patients. This was truly her calling and joy in life.

Ann loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her new 6 week old great grandchild born September 28, 2017. She also loved shopping, cooking, decorating, dancing, and enjoying her life with family and friends.

On November 7, 2017, she was called home to meet the Lord. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Freeman Russell and her grandparents, John Dewey Russell Sr. and Elmira Bryant Russell.

Ann leaves to cherish her memories three children, Toya Russell Turner (Romeo), Donita Morris and Shawn Morris; grandchildren, Karmen Russell, Jason Turner, Jaylyn Turner, Elijahouah Denson, and Justin Turner; great grandchild, Carson Russell Tsikasis; siblings, Judy, Shirley Faye Holloway (Daniel), Chaviano Russell, and Alex Russell; she also leaves to cherish her memories, her life partner, Henry Strozier; aunts, uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home of Lagrange is in charge of the arrangements.
