Ms. Patty Nell Allen

Ms. Patty Nell Allen was born April 29. 1935 to the late Dave and Arie Lee McClendon in Chambers County, Alabama.

She united with Sweet Hope Baptist Church.

She was employed by Franklin Aluminum, Dewell Manufacturing, Bowdon, Georgia; and Baby Clothes of Franklin.

Patty departed this life on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at her home in Franklin, Georgia surrounded by her loving family.

She will be remembered as a very supportive and loving person who filled the hearts of those around her with laughter and joy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Belinda Allen and Hazel Marie Kimble; son, Charlie Herbert Allen; sisters, Lucille Goss and Sarah Lee Evans; and brother, Hubert McClendon.

She leaves to celebrate her legacy and cherish her memories, her children, Jimmy Lee (Ann) Allen, Newnan, GA; Rosa Nell Bonner, Carrollton, GA; Roberta (Shun) Watkins, Franklin, GA; Teresa Allen, Randy Allen, Franklin, GA; a special son, Michael “Mike” Smith; grandchildren, Sandra Latoshia Allen, Amos Lashante Cook, Jessica (Steve) Calhoun, Stephanie Ogletree, Cassandra Allen, Tenecia Allen, Torrence Allen, Tyree Allen, Brandi Kimble, O’Brian (Liz) Kimble, Timothy Kimble, and Brittany Allen; 24 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; two sisters, Alice Jane Reid and Jennie Ruth McClendon, both of Franklin, GA; two brothers, James Holiday and LeRoy Dozier, both of LaFayette, Alabama; sister-in-law, Annie Mildred, Anniston, AL; brother-in-law, Lonnie B. Evans, Roanoke, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, March 26, 2020 at 1:00 PM CST at Sky View Cemetery, Five Points.

Lakes Dunson Robertson Funeral Home of Lagrange is in charge of the arrangements.
