(Franklin, GA) — Two senior Brave football players signed letters of intent to play football at the next level Wednesday morning at Heard High School on National Signing Day.

Cornerback/wide receiver Jaden Moreland is headed to Statesboro, Georgia to join the Eagles of Georgia Southern University.

Jaden had an outstanding senior season and career as a Brave breaking numerous records along the way including career interceptions (15) and single season receiving yardage (1187 yards).

Founded in 1906 as a land grant college, GSU is part of the University System of Georgia and is the biggest center of higher education within the southern half of Georgia.

The university has an overall enrollment of more than 27,000 students from all states and approximately 85 nations. Moreland will join senior redshirt former Brave offensive lineman Jake Edwards on the GSU roster. The Eagles are members of the Sunbelt Conference.

Damion Hart was expected to be a huge part of the Brave attack on both sides of the ball in 2017 before an unfortunate injury sidelined him for the season.

Hart signed with the Bluefield College Rams. Bluefield College is a small, Christian liberal arts college in Bluefield, Virginia, United States. It offers 22 majors and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

The 82-acre (330,000 m2) campus is about 150 ft (46 m) from the state line between Virginia and West Virginia. The Rams compete in the NAIA.

Congratulations to these Brave seniors on all of their hard work and effort!
