Sea Cadets visit Army Aviation Heritage Foundation

(Hampton, GA) — The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, Pathfinder Excursion Squadron, was cordially invited to visit the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation’s Hampton Ga. Chapter.

There they had a private tour of the facilities and aircraft. Special attention was given to a UH-1H “Huey,” and a AH-1F “Cobra.” Both helicopters have Vietnam combat experience, as do most all of their aircraft.

The cadets received instruction on how helicopters fly, and the missions of both aircraft and their history. The event was topped off with a flight in a “Huey”, also a combat veteran.

On behalf of the Sea Cadets, we want to extend a heartfelt  thank you our gracious hosts for their overwhelming hospitality.

If you want to learn about the AAHF, and how they preserve the legacy of Army Aviation, they can be reached at www.armyav.org or 770-897-0444.

If you have a son or daughter, ages 11-18 and would like to learn more about the USNSCC, contact us at www.seacadets.org.

There you will learn about a unit near you. Both the AAHF and the Sea Cadets are non-profit and need your support to help make these events happen.
