Sgt. Lee Maxwell

Sgt. Lee Maxwell, age 47 of Waco, Georgia, passed away on Thursday morning, January 16, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 12, 1972 in Carrollton, Georgia, the son of Barry Entrekin and Linda Rayburn Entrekin.

Sgt. Maxwell graduated from Mt. Zion High School and has devoted 27 years of service with the Carroll County Sheriff Office. He was currently serving as a School Resource Officer at Mt. Zion High School.

Sgt. Maxwell was an active member of Victory Tabernacle.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Anthony Entrekin and a sister, Kathy Dawn Maxwell.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Misty Brown Maxwell; children: Alex Wheeler, Dylan Maxwell, Allie Maxwell, and Jasmine Phillips, all of Waco, Georgia; sister, Jennifer Entrekin of Bremen, Georgia; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Shelia and Jarvis Taylor.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Zion High School Gym with Rev. Roger Luke officiating with the eulogy rendered by Dylan Maxwell.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Donnie Gibson, Chad Sheriff, Greg Holcomb, Dave Elliott, Eddie Lawrence, Landon Odom, Randall Williams, Buck Norton, Craig Dodson, Wade Stephens, Mark Griffith and Roy Brock.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM and from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Bremen, Georgia.
