‘Starting in Style’ to help young ladies with back-to-school shopping

(Franklin/Carrollton) — ‘Starting in Style’ is a new project that is aimed at giving middle school girls from both Heard and Carroll counties a chance to go back to school shopping with the help of Jules & James Boutique as well as City Station — located in Carrollton.

Middle school can be a tough time for many students but with the right outfit it can give a feeling of confidence and acceptance.

Initially, 30 girls have been pre-selected to be taken to City Station this July 24 where they will be provided with a welcoming brunch and matched up with a shopping buddy.

After a short devotional, the girls will begin their shopping excursion!

Back at City Station, the girls will put on a fashion show, enjoy pizza, and be given goodie bags.

The goal of this project is to give these girls the feeling of acceptance, belonging, and confidence so that they can start their school year out with courage and excitement.

If you would like more information on this project, please email Rachel Schory (rachel.schory@heard.k12.ga.us) or Abbey Smith (abbey.smith@heard.k12.ga.us).
