U.S. Navy Sea Cadet Corps host special guest at HCMS

(Franklin, GA) — The Pathfinder Excursion Squadron of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps recently hosted a member of the Georgia Army National Guard.

SPC E4 Colton H. Laub of C Company 1-121IN Infantry Division. SPC Colton is an Infantry Medic and County EMT.  He brought his medical gear and demonstrated to the cadets, what it takes to be a Medic/Corpsman. The cadets learned battlefield and everyday life saving techniques.

Future visits to the squadron will be Academy Liasion Officers, other Army/AF NG members, and local PD/FD. The unit has visited NAS Pensacola to visit with the Blue Angels, the Army Ranger Mountain Division open house, and the Army Aviation Historical Foundation. Future visits to the BoneFrog Challenge, Atlanta Veteran’s Day Parade and many more are planned.

If you are 11-18, have an interest in the military, sailing, aviation/piloting, medicine, SCUBA, small arms, color guard, technology, and many other fun activities, the Sea Cadets is right for you.  Cadet applicants must have a drive to excel, be physically fit and keep good grades.
