Worksource Three Rivers awards In The Door, LLC $663,108 to provide youth services

(Griffin, GA) — WorkSource Three Rivers has contracted with In The Door, LLC to provide services to youth (ages 16-24) for the Three Rivers Region.

In The Door provides career pathways, credential attainment, and supportive services to young adults who may face barriers to employment.

Through local partnerships, participants gain hands-on work experience. They also develop academic, career, and life skills that lead to lifelong success.

The company’s primary focus will be to provide a robust work experience program that places youth on worksites for internship opportunities with employers in the region; and to provide GED services to youth in specific counties throughout the region.

About WorkSource Three Rivers

Worksource Three Rivers is the regional workforce development program overseen by the Three Rivers Workforce Development Board (TRWDB). WorkSource Three Rivers is the recipient of federal funds under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Funds are used to provide services that support talent development and economic development in the region. The fiscal agent for WorkSource Three Rivers is Three Rivers Regional Commission (TRRC), a 10- county regional planning commission that includes the West Central Georgia counties of Butts, Carroll, Coweta, Heard, Lamar, Meriwether, Pike, Spalding, Troup and Upson. As a quasi-governmental agency, the TRRC develops, promotes, and provides comprehensive planning and development services and technical assistance that seek to make the local communities in its region better places to live and work.
