Wright also got the win on the mound in relief of starter Bryan Jones.

Jones was sharp striking out nine War Eagle batters in 5.2 innings pitched while scattering five hits and three walks.

Jones only allowed one earned run. Jones also delivered a big triple at the plate.

The JV Braves continued to use their speed on the base paths with Head, Wright, Payton Caldwell, JoJo Mills, and Tanner Collins each logging stolen bases.

Mills and Davey Raines drove in the other two big runs in the bottom of the sixth.

The JV Braves (7-5) are back in action this afternoon traveling to Handley High School for a doubleheader versus the Tigers.

They host Mt. Zion for a doubleheader next Monday before closing out the JV season at Bremen on Wednesday.

The varsity Braves travel to Landmark Christian tomorrow.
